    David Bailey is a highly experienced Local Government and Local Strategic Partnership officer working with and advising local authorities, police, Fire & Rescue Service, and the Third Sector partners on all aspects of Community Cohesion and Integration. He has good knowledge and experience of working with Gypsy Roma Travellers, Central and Eastern Europeans, and ethnic minority communities. This work is as varied as community development, integration projects, addressing unauthorised Gypsy Traveller developments/ encampments and taking enforcement action if required. He has held senior posts in local authorities and has worked with a range of organisations including the Commission for Racial Equality, Equality & Human Rights Commission, Joseph Rowntree Trust, Local Government Association (Taskforce on Gypsy Traveller issues) and the Chartered Institute of Housing as a facilitator on their Gypsy Site Management Diploma training course. David has worked with partners delivering a variety of community projects including addressing Modern Day Slavery issues and exploitation, minimising the impacts of inward migration, and the development of Gypsy Traveller sites. David has supported Fenland District Council in providing high-quality services through advisory roles, peer reviews, and acting as a critical friend. Recently Fenland District Council have been reaccredited and was the first authority in England to obtain Corporate Customer Service Excellence accreditation. David played a key role in obtaining the original accreditation and all of the reviews to date.
