Job evaluation is your authorities’ foundation for a fair and equitable pay system. The Local Government Single Status Job Evaluation Scheme was developed to achieve single status for all jobs within scope of the “Green Book” to be graded on a common basis in accordance with equal pay legislation. Training is needed to support application of the scheme and to raise equality awareness to ensure decisions are free from bias. The day course is practical and interactive and each delegate receives the National Guidance and other supporting resources to support their role as evaluators in the future. During the day's training we cover; The scheme background and principles, getting to know the factors, the alternative responsibility factor definitions, how to put it all into practice and equality, moderation and appeals.
